How to Dismount a CryptoDisk Volume

This chapter contains step-by-step instructions on how to dismount a CryptoDisk volume. We strongly recommend that you also read the other sections of this manual, as they contain important information.

Step-by-step instructions

Step 1:

Download and install CryptoDisk, if you have not done so. Please refer to chapter CryptoDisk Installation for detailed instructions.

Step 2:

Close all applications that use the volume you want to dismount. The volume should not contain files or folders being used by other applications or system.

Step 3:

If CryptoDisk is not running, launch it by clicking the CryptoDisk shortcut in your Windows Start menu or by double-clicking the file CryptoDisk.exe.

Step 4:

The main CryptoDisk window should appear. It shows all mounted CryptoDisk volumes. Select the volume you want to dismount.

Final Step:

Click Dismount toolbar button or use Ctrl+D keyboard shortcut to dismount selected volume.

Note: You can dismount all mounted CryptoDisk volumes at once by clicking Dismount All button.
