How to Mount a CryptoDisk Volume
This chapter contains step-by-step instructions on how to mount a CryptoDisk volume. We strongly recommend that you also read the other sections of this manual, as they contain important information.
Step-by-step instructions
Step 1:
Download and install CryptoDisk, if you have not done so. Please refer to chapter CryptoDisk Installation for detailed instructions.
Step 2:
If CryptoDisk is not running, launch it by clicking the CryptoDisk shortcut in your Windows Start menu or by double-clicking the file CryptoDisk.exe.
Step 3:
The main CryptoDisk window should appear. Click Mount toolbar button or use Ctrl+M keyboard shortcut. The standard file selection dialog window should appear.
Step 4:
Browse to the volume file and select it. Click Open button. The file selection dialog window should disappear.
Step 5:
Password prompt dialog window should appear. Type the password in the password input field and click OK.
You can adjust mount options, such as drive letter to which the CryptoDisk volume will be mounted, by pressing Show advanced options... button and selecting appropriate values.
Final Step:
Your encrypted volume is now mounted as a normal disk. You can use Windows Explorer to access it.
Note: If the volume is accessed for the first time, dialog box will appear asking you to Format the volume. It is necessary to format the volume if you are accessing it for the first time.
